A little suggestion: this Modica chocolate with cinnamon is best enjoyed as a drink, in a cup, rather than eaten. Only then does it fully reveal its character — warming, comforting, and uplifting. Savoured on a rainy afternoon, it pairs beautifully with “The Physiology of Taste, or Meditations on Transcendental Gastronomy” by Brillat-Savarin, who already in the mid-19th century described the combination of chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla as “nec plus ultra” among flavours.
